Google Play Music is making New Release Radio available to all users
Google Play Music has offered New Release Radio exclusively on the Galaxy S8
as an “early access feature” since June. The station will work
similarly to Spotify’s Release Radar, by offering you a personalized
stream of music based on your tastes.
That’s changing this week, though, as Google announced that it’s opening up New Release Radio to all Google Play Music users.
According to Google, New Release Radio uses your listening preferences
to select tracks from recent singles and album releases from the last
two weeks, curating a constantly updated station of new music for you.
New Release Radio is available to all Google Play Music
users, too. So, whether you’re a free radio listener or a paying
subscriber, you’ll be able to take advantage of the new feature. The
station will update itself daily, so you’ll always have something new to
listen to. (Release Rader on Spotify only updates once a week.)
New Release Radio should be rolling out now to all users in the Google Play Music app.
