Unihertz’s Jelly phone sounds like an
all-things-miniature dream come true. It has a 2.45-inch display and is
designed to fit in your pocket without losing any functionality. It also
runs Android Nougat and comes in three colors: white, a sky blue, and
black. As a proponent of all odd phone designs, as well as tiny objects,
I’m rooting for the Jelly on Kickstarter. I’m also really hoping it isn’t a scam.
Here are the full specs:
- 4G LTE
- 950mAh battery
- 2.45-inch display with 240 x 432 resolution
- 2-megapixel front-facing camera; 8-megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1.1 GHz quad core processor
- Dual SIM card
- Choice of 1GB or 2GB RAM (Pro version)
- Choice of 8GB of storage or 16GB of storage (Pro version)
Jelly is meant to be an alternative to your usual phone
that you can use while working out or maybe going out for the night. The
company behind it is even designing an armband for workouts. It should
work with most 4G network carriers in the US, including AT&T and
T-Mobile. Jelly starts at $59 and is supposed to ship this summer.
